Little Petra
Little Petra is also known as Beidha and Siq al-Barid (The Cold Siq - little sun gets in). This was a highly cultivated region, with many cisterns, channels and carved steps to be found. Little Petra is thought by many to have been a caravan station for Petra itself, a business centre for the traders passing through. The gorge inside is about 350 metres long. Their are three wider areas connected by narrower sections.
